''Concerto'' was born in 1981, as an effect of a viticulture with an unexpressed potential, experimenting new training systems and new blends, including also non-autochthonous varietals; it was one of the forerunners and also, one of the top 10 players of the ''Super Tuscans'' phenomenon. The Location in Fonterutoli - Castellina in Chianti (SI) in Toscana IGT appellation offers rocky soil coming from decomposed limestone and sandstone. The harvest is hand picked starting from 21st September for the Cabernet Sauvignon and 26th September for the Sangiovese. The wine is aged for 18 months in small french oak barrels and 3 months in concrete tanks.
Tasting Notes:
Rich and juicy, notes of underbrush and black berries, powerful with a fine finish.
Serving Suggestions:
Pairs well with rich, savoury Italian dishes, red meats, aged cheeses and hearty bold flavours.
